The short version: every current Storz & Bickel device carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Four of them can be extended to 3 years by registering within four weeks of purchase. Three cannot — and that distinction is the thing most people get wrong, because plenty of retailers advertise “3-year warranty” across the whole range.

Storz & Bickel name the excluded models directly in their terms. If you own a Veazy, Crafty+ or Plenty, registering is still worth doing — it puts your serial number and proof of purchase on file, which makes any future claim smoother — but it will not add a third year.
Regional note: some countries receive only the statutory two years regardless of registration, and in Australia the extra year applies to medical devices only. If you’re outside the US, check your local terms.
How to register (about five minutes)
Register within four weeks of purchase or the extra year is gone — this deadline is firm, and it’s the single most common way people lose coverage they were entitled to.
- Create or log into your account at storz-bickel.com/registration.
- Go to My Devices and choose Register Device.
- Enter your serial number and upload your invoice (must show purchase date, item and price; 2 MB maximum file size).
- Submit, then wait for the confirmation email — processing can take up to 72 hours.
Keep your invoice. If you can’t produce one, S&B fall back to their first sale date for that unit rather than the date you bought it — which can quietly cost you months of coverage. A photo of the serial number label works as a substitute in some cases, but it’s a worse position to be in.
A device already registered by a previous owner cannot be re-registered. This is worth knowing before buying second-hand.
What the warranty covers
Defects in material and workmanship under normal use. If the device fails because something inside it was badly made, that’s the warranty’s job.
What it doesn’t cover
The exclusion list is longer than most people expect, and some of it catches owners out:
- Accessories — batteries, balloons, cooling units, charging cables, filling chambers, tubes, screens and capsules are all excluded. These are wear items; budget for them.
- Normal wear and tear, and improper use, maintenance or storage.
- Commercial use — a device used in a business isn’t covered.
- Concentrates and wax. Running material a device wasn’t designed for voids coverage.
- Moisture, extreme temperatures, sand or food exposure.
- Refurbished products and unauthorized repairs.
- Modified units, altered serial numbers, or anything opened, disassembled or tampered with.
- Cosmetic damage — scratches and dents.

The warranty does not apply to products purchased from an unauthorized dealer.
That’s Storz & Bickel’s own wording, and their terms name eBay, Amazon and Facebook Marketplace specifically.
This is worth sitting with, because it’s the difference between a warranty and a story about a warranty. A Volcano bought from a marketplace seller has no manufacturer coverage at all — not two years, not three, none. It doesn’t matter that the box was sealed or the unit is genuine. If the seller wasn’t authorized, S&B aren’t obliged to help you.

One thing to be aware of before sending a device in: if S&B inspect it and find no defect, there’s a 70 USD/EUR inspection fee. Worth ruling out the simple explanations — a clogged screen, a worn balloon, a dirty filling chamber — before assuming a fault.
